St Patrick's Day
Do you know what is so special about Friday, March 17th? Right, it's St Patrick's Day.
Our 4th graders have been learning this week about Ireland, its traditions and cultural facts.
The cherry on the cake was the event where kids had an opportunity to cooperate along with expressing themselves individually. Our students gained coins for doing a number of exciting activities.
They danced the jig dance, made wonderful leprechauns, pinned the hat to the leprechauns in turns, practised speaking and even had Jeopardy game where they demonstrated the knowledge of the topic.
The most pleasant part was the auction where they could spend the earned coins to buy prizes. Each child got the home-made cookie shaped as shamrock to eat it at the snack time.
